Visco-elastic memory foam is a direct result of space-age technology. Developed during the 1960’s for NASA this product was used to cushion and deflect the tremendous effects of gravitational pull experienced by our astronauts during take-off and re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere. By way of its great success with NASA, the foam began being used to cushion, protect and comfort critically ill individuals in hospital intensive care units. It also provided outstanding healing benefits and comfort to bed ridden individuals in hospital burn centers. As its fame grew, other industries began using visco-elastic foam in car seats, cushions and a wide variety of products. Soon customers, who experienced visco-elastic foam in hospital beds and other sources, began demanding this product for their own use in sleep products and the rest is history!

Unlike "conventional foam" with its quick recovery, or bouncy feel, visco-elastic slowly and automatically adjusts to your body weight and temperature. In addition to the slow, conforming response, visco-elastic foam offers complete, luxurious and stress free support. Visco-elastic foam accommodates anybody anomalies or spinal irregularities, making it a must for those who suffer with scoliosis, arthritis and its resulting bone deformities, and many other situations that make sleeping on a conventional innerspring mattress extremely uncomfortable and often impossible!

HR Foam or High Resiliency foam is a special kind of foam used in mattresses. Unlike PU or any other kinds of foam, it has more resiliency, meaning the ability to bounce back up. For instance memory foam tends to stay depressed, when you press it giving comfort and your body or head actually sinks into the memory foam. Whereas, in HR foam, the mattress tends to regain its shape because of its bounce inbuilt back property, which determines its resiliency factor.
HR foam mattress is a different experience from a foam mattress mainly because of its form restoration ability.
HR foam mattresses are good for people looking for mattresses for orthopedic use, as it can support your spine, neck and shoulders while giving them the chance to relax. Your pressure points are at ease while enjoying the support that a HR mattress provides.

Rebounded Foam.

Open cell foam that is made from shredded pieces of foam, which are then glued together, forming one solid piece of foam. Rebounded foam is very dense and provides the most solid, firm support base. Scrap foam of various density foams is shredded into small pieces and placed into a processing unit with a chemical adhesive. The mixture is pressurized and injected with steam to form a large foam cylinder or block. This material is then "peeled" into the proper thicknesses for Mattresses,   cushion and other industrial products use. The use of various types (some times of different colors) gives bonded foam its unique "marbled" look.

The fact that "shredded" foam is used in bonded foam production should not be considered a negative. In actuality, some grades of bonded cushion are considered to be among the highest quality and best performing material in the bedding and mattress industry. In recent times Rebounded foam have significantly replaced the Coir Sheets in the mattress industry as a great alternative by serving better comfort for orthopedic relief with a promise of much more longevity. Good rebounded foam should be between 080D to 110D.

Coir mattresses are mattresses that contain layers made from the coir fiber. Fiber taken from the husk of a coconut

A coir mattress is typically made similarly to other synthetic core mattresses. Coir mattresses will usually have a layer of foam in the center, surrounded by layers of coir fibers on top and bottom, and then finished with traditional padded cotton insulating layers.

Foam

Basic foam mattresses offer a cloud-like sleep experience. They avoid the visco-elastic materials used in memory foam, so they’re more lightweight and affordable. You’ll still “sink into” a foam mattress, but it doesn’t respond to weight and pressure the same way memory foam does.

Memory Foam

Memory foam is firm and supportive, but it also conforms to your body and adapts to your pressure points to relieve tension, aches, and pains. It evenly distributes body weight to provide personalized comfort for all body types.

Gel Memory Foam

All the benefits of memory foam with the addition of gel swirls, beads, or layers that increase air circulation. The gel helps to create an optimal sleep temperature and the extra layer increases support over standard memory foam.

Certain kinds of mattresses are better suited for your go-to sleeping position than others. The right mattress firmness can even be effective in soothing chronic aches and pains. When it comes down to making a decision on a mattress, consider what level of firmness will bring you relief.

Extra Firm

An extra firm mattress lacks cushioning, so it’s a good choice for stomach sleepers who need a mattress with some resistance.

Firm

A firm mattress is the best choice for sleepers with larger builds who need increased support and don’t want the sensation of sinking into the bed.

Medium

A mattress with medium firmness is ideal for back and side sleepers who want their mattress to be solid enough to give spinal support, but still provide hotel-level comfort.

Cushion Firm

A cushion firm mattress has added cushioning at the top to provide a firm, supportive base without sacrificing softness. It helps to prevent back strain.

Plush

A plush mattress features a soft-to-the-touch surface, popular with side sleepers to relieve pressure points.

Ultra Plush

An ultra-plush mattress has a very soft surface created by extra padding. Because it’s not sturdy, it won’t keep your back from arching, but it will ease shoulder and hip tension as you sleep on your side.
